The history of making green tea in China can be traced back to before the Tang Dynasty. The tea cake mentioned in Lu Yu's "The Classic of Tea" in the Tang Dynasty is actually the ancient steamed green tea. The processing technology of green tea has gone through a long process from sun-drying to fixation, frying, and drying, to creating high-quality famous teas with different shapes such as flakes, powder, needles, eyebrows, snails, and beads.

Among them, needle-shaped green tea is a general term for tea leaves that are long in shape like needles. Due to the different raw materials and processing techniques, this type of tea can be divided into bud-leaf type pine needle-shaped teas that use single buds as raw materials and are processed through basic processes such as withering, fixing, rolling, shaping, and drying.

In the process of shaping, the strips are continuously rubbed by the needle type tea shaping machine to make the tea leaves tight, round, straight and smooth, and the pekoe is exposed. At the same time, in the process of straightening, the water content of the tea leaves is reduced to the minimum through the heating function. Finally, the tea leaves are dried by drying.
