Countermeasures For Tea Gardens In Hot Weather

2022-08-19 16:26:28

This summer has become extraordinarily hot, reaching the high temperature of 40°C+, but our tea gardens are very sensitive to extreme weather such as high temperature and drought. Such extreme weather not only affects the normal growth of tea trees, but also affects the yield and quality of tea trees. be implicated.

Therefore, it is of great significance to do a good job of prevention and control measures and emergency plans for drought and heat damage in tea gardens to reduce the economic losses of tea gardens.

1. Build reservoirs: According to the terrain of the tea garden, build reservoirs of different specifications in the low-lying areas of the tea garden according to local conditions. Open drainage ditches in the tea garden. In seasons with sufficient rainfall, the rainwater flows into the reservoir through the drainage ditches, which is conducive to the drainage of the tea garden during floods and solves the problem of water accumulation in the tea garden. In the season of insufficient rainfall, it can help the water in the reservoir to irrigate the tea garden, alleviate the drought and solve the problem of water shortage.

2. Shallow ploughing and weeding: Perform proper shallow ploughing and weeding before the onset of drought to destroy soil capillaries and reduce water evaporation. Soil shallow tillage depth should not be too deep, generally not more than 10cm.

3. Planting shade trees: Planting a certain density of shade trees in the tea garden can play a certain role in cooling. Shade trees should be tall, well-shaded, and have no common diseases and insect pests with tea trees. The roots of shade trees and tea trees should not be at the same depth. There are many types of shade trees that can be used as tea gardens, such as camphor, cypress, fir, acacia and so on.
